Lazot Technologies Private Limited (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates Lazot Smart App (hereinafter referred to as “Service”).

Our Privacy Policy governs your visit to Lazot Smart App and explains how we collect, safeguard and disclose information that results from your use of our Service.

We use your data to provide and improve Service. By using Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, the terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions.

Our Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all use of our Service and together with the Privacy Policy constitutes your agreement with us (“agreement”).

  1. Definitions

SERVICE means the Lazot Smart App operated by Lazot Technologies Private Limited.

PERSONAL DATA means data about a living individual who can be identified from those data (or from those and other information either in our possession or likely to come into our possession).

USAGE DATA is data collected automatically either generated by the use of Service or from Service infrastructure itself.

COOKIES are small files stored on your device (computer or mobile device).

DATA CONTROLLER means a natural or legal person who (either alone or jointly or in common with other persons) determines the purposes for which and the manner in which any personal data are, or are to be, processed. For the purpose of this Privacy Policy, we are a Data Controller of your data.

DATA PROCESSORS (OR SERVICE PROVIDERS) means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Data Controller. We may use the services of various Service Providers in order to process your data more effectively.

DATA SUBJECT is any living individual who is the subject of Personal Data.

THE USER is the individual using our Service. The User corresponds to the Data Subject, who is the subject of Personal Data.

  1. Information Gathering, Use and Sharing

We value your association with us and thus ensure highest standards in securing your personal information and details. We ensure that the information provided by you will not be shared or sold to any third party outside our organisation. Customer information will be used by us in contacting them back in case of queries as requested by them and in case of shipping of products the details would be shared to our shipping channels. We may use your email to contact you in future to inform you about our new products, special offers or any change in our privacy policy.

This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes how we collect and use personal and other information in connection with the operation of the Lazot Controller(the “Hardware”). Lazot Smart App and our website at “Site”) are intended to be used in connection with and support the Hardware and together with the Hardware make up the Lazot Service (the “Service”).

This Policy describes the information that we gather from you through your use of the Service, how we use and disclose such information, and the steps we take to protect such information. By using the Service, you consent to the privacy practices described in this Policy.

This Policy is incorporated into and is subject to the Lazot Terms of Service.

  1. What Information do we collect through the App and Site?

User-provided Information: When you use the Mobile App, you may provide and we may collect what is generally called “personally identifiable” information, or “personal information,” which is information that specifically identifies an individual. Examples of personal information include name, e-mail address, mailing address, mobile number, and credit card or other billing information. Personal information also includes other information, such as date of birth, geographic area, or preferences, when any such information is linked to information that identifies a specific individual. You may provide us with personal information in various ways on the Service. For example, you provide us with personal information when you register for an account, purchase hardware, use Lazot SmartApp, input your preferences Lazot Smart App, interact with other users of the Service through, or send us customer service-related requests.

Location information: Some parts of the Service make use of location-based data. When you use the Mobile Application we may use information about the Wi-Fi routers and cell IDs of the towers closest to you.

“Cookies” and “Automatically Collected” Information: When you use Lazot SmartApp, we may send one or more cookies – small text files containing a string of alphanumeric characters – to your device. We may use both session cookies and persistent cookies. A session cookie disappears after you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains after you close your browser and may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the Mobile App. Please review your web browser “Help” file to learn the proper way to modify your cookie settings. Please note that if you delete, or choose not to accept, cookies from the Service, you may not be able to utilize the features of the Service to their fullest potential. We may also automatically record certain information from your device by using various types of technology, including “clear gifs” or “web beacons.” This “automatically collected” information may include your IP address or other device address or ID, web browser and/or device type, the pages or other content you view or otherwise interact with on the Service, and the dates and times that you visit, access, or use the Service.

Third-Party Web Beacons and Third-Party Buttons: We may also implement third-party content or advertising on Lazot SmartApp that may use clear gifs or other forms of web beacons, which allow the third-party content provider to read and write cookies to your browser in connection with your viewing of the third party content on Lazot Smart App. Additionally, we may implement third party buttons (such as Facebook “like” or “share” buttons) that may allow third parties to collect information about you through such third parties’ browser cookies, even when you do not interact with the button. Information collected through web beacons and buttons is collected directly by these third parties, and Lazot does not participate in that data transmission. Information collected by a third party in this manner is subject to that third party’s own data collection, use, and disclosure policies.

  1. What information to do we collect through the Hardware?

When you use parts of the Service that require Hardware, we may collect Information from that Hardware, such as model and serial number, Hardware activity logs, and historic and current Hardware configuration. We also collect usage data from your Hardware, such as what devices are plugged into the Hardware, the location of the Hardware, whether Hardware is in dimmable mode or is in use, and how much electricity is being consumed by devices plugged into any Hardware.

We may obtain information, including personal information, from third parties and sources other than the Service, such as our partners, advertisers, and Integrated Services. If we combine or associate information from other sources with personal information that we collect through the Service, we will treat the combined information as personal information in accordance with this Policy.

How we use the information we collect. We use information we collect on the Service in a variety of ways in providing the Service and operating our business, including the following:

We use the information that we collect on the Service to operate, maintain, enhance and provide all features of the Service, to provide Services and information that you request, to respond to comments and questions, to assist with troubleshooting issues with your device, the Hardware, and otherwise to provide support to users, and to process and deliver entries and rewards in connection with promotions that may be offered from time to time on the Service.

We use the information that we collect on the Service to understand and analyze the usage trends and preferences of our users, to improve the Service, and to develop new products, Services, features, and functionality.

We may use your email address or other information we collect on the Service

  • To contact you for administrative purposes such as customer Service, to address intellectual property infringement, privacy violations or defamation issues related to your use of the Service or
  • To send communications, including updates on promotions and events, relating to products and Services offered by us and by third parties we work with. Generally, you have the ability to opt-out of receiving any promotional communications as described below under “Your Choices.”

The Service may contain features or links to Web sites and Services provided by third parties. Any information you provide on third-party sites or Services is provided directly to the operators of such Services and is subject to those operators’ policies, if any, governing privacy and security, even if accessed through the Service. We are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of third-party sites or Services to which links or access are provided through the Service. The security of your data is important to us but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

When the Hardware and the Mobile App communicate on your home Wi-Fi network or via a cell tower, the transmission is encrypted; transmissions are also encrypted when the Hardware and Mobile App communicate with our servers.We cannot, ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or store on the service, and you do so at your own risk.We also cannot guarantee that such information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards.

If we learn of a security services breach, then we may attempt to notify you electronically so that you can take appropriate protective steps. We may post a notice through the service if a security breach occurs. Depending on where you live, you may have a legal right to receive notice of a security breach in writing. We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service (“Service Providers”), provide Service on our behalf, perform Service-related services or assist us in analysing how our Service is used.
